Jojo Rabbit Review

It’s kind of hard to know what to expect. After it’s cleared up in the first couple minutes, it’s smooth saluting from there! In my Jojo Rabbit Review, I point out a couple little things that made it dumb sometimes, but overall, it’s a great war/comedy film!

Jojo Rabbit Review Transcript for Movies Are Dumb Sometimes

Sometimes you go into a movie thinking, “Oh boy! What am I gonna get here!” and sometimes you don’t get what you’re think you’re gonna get but sometimes, like with JoJo Rabbit, what you get is awesome!

JoJo Rabbit is the story about a young German kid who wants to be nothing else but a Nazi.  From the time this movie started, that’s all he wants in his life, but this movie is way more than that.  I got a lot more than I bargained for in this movie and it’s easy to find all the Dumb Sometimes things in this movie because this movie is a comedy and it’s a pretty wacky comedy at that.  But when it is all working so well, you can’t call it Dumb Sometimes, but sometimes you can call it dumb.

There’s one time in this movie when – I forget his name. Let me look. Oh! His name’s JoJo! I thought his name was Ralphie for some reason…but Jo Jo – he grabs a grenade and he throws it. It hits a tree and it lands like two feet from him and it blows up and he does not die and I was like “OK”.

I know this is a comedy and this supposed to be fun but a grenade just blew up on this kid. I thought this movie was gonna be like one of my favorite movies of all time, which is The Greasy Strangler, which is on Amazon Prime thankfully. I’ll put a link in the description below cuz if you have not seen this movie you are in for one wild ride!

The only part of this movie I thought didn’t fit well, because I felt like it was much more of a Greasy Strangler moment – there’s a scene where JoJo is talking to his – like commanding officers – the ones in charge of him. Then Rebel Wilson’s character sits down on the opposite side of the shot and she’s gonna talk to them so she just like scoots one scoot at a time over to them.

It was kind of funny, but I was like “OK, let’s get this over with! Just get up and walk over or just talk there hear that. I don’t know. Her character was kind of goofy, but it wasn’t a main character and you don’t need to spend time building characters that really aren’t in the movie that much.

That was a dumb moment. There is a scene in this movie that surprisingly had me on the edge of my seat, where I did not expect I would be. it was the classic “the SS are coming to the house with the hidden Jew” and they’re gonna search the house and this whole scene I was just like, “Oh geez! Oh man! Oh Man!” They kind of took me back to Inglorious Bastards. The SS captain and in the Jew hunter from Inglorious Bastards. they are not the same character by any means by any way, but it was such a similar feeling that was conveyed through both of them, and it was pretty impressive if you asked me.

One thing I could say about this movie that I was really happy about is that they actually used Scarlett Johansson. For some reason I thought this was gonna be like “Hobo with a Shotgun” where they got Rob Wells, who plays Ricky from Trailer Park Boys, one of my favorite all-time characters across any media forum. All they had him in that movie for about two minutes and they killed him off I was very upset with that. I really was expecting more of Rob wells in that film they put his name in like main cast, but it was one of those instances in which they just got the name just to get viewers and I was afraid that’s what this was gonna be with Scarlett Johansson but it wasn’t!

I expected a lot of the other casts and I did not expect a lot of Scarlett Johansson. Oh wow! It was a great role. She did a great job and I wish we could just could have got a little more of her character. It was like, they had her in there enough, but they should have had her in there a little more. I would have liked to see them add five minutes on to the movie – let us know a little more about what she did. We know what she did. Maybe I’m just fanboy or something! I don’t know! But it was great!

Thank you so much for watching this quick talk. Well maybe it wasn’t quick, but I really don’t know what else to say about Jojo Rabbit – my Jojo Rabbit review.

Basically is it’s great! It’s a little weird. it starts off weird and once you understand Hitler’s role in this movie you’re gonna be like “Oh, okay.”

This is actually really good. It was it also very touching. This lady behind me was sobbing at one moment in this movie like there was no tomorrow !
